Chemex Coffee Maker Brewing Guide
Euipment: Grinder, Scale, Chemex, Filter Paper and Kettle
Portion: 1 cup 150cc
Suggested Coffee and Water Ratio: 1:15
Prepare 10g (20g for 2 cups, etc.) of coffee beans and heat filtered water to 190-204°F.
Grind 10g of coffee beans with burr grinder at middle level (between fine to Coarse).
Place filter paper into Chemex coffeemaker. Use a small amount of hot water to pre-wet filter paper. Dispose water used for pre-wetting.
Pour ground coffee into the filter and give it a gentle shake. This will flatten the bed, allowing for a more even pour.
Pour some hot water into the filter to soak the ground coffee for 20-25 seconds and then pour the rest gently clockwise without touching the filter paper. (Use 150cc of hot wawter at temperature 190-204°F)
Wait for 2.5-3 miuntes until the water drains complete.
Pour coffee into coffee cup and enjoy!
