Topic: 3 brewing method comparison – Pour Over (Hario V60 NEO), Siphon, and 4oz Latte

Coffee: Jamaica Blue Mountain #1 from Clydesdale

There are 6 elements to consider when you brew a coffee.

Coffee/Water Ratio, Grind Size, Optimum Brewing Method, Water Quality, Proper Operate Equipment, and Filter System. In this tasting event, we would like to use the same coffee (JBM) to demonstrate 3 different brewing methods to show you how to apply these 6 elements when brewing coffee properly.

In 1728, the former Governor, Sir Nicholas Lawes, brought a plant of coffee into Jamaica. The first coffee plant on the island was planted in the parish of St. Andrew. Coffee production eventually expanded in the majestic Blue Mountain® ranges to include the hills of St. Ann, Manchester and St. Elizabeth. By 1814, there were over 600 coffee plantations on the island. With an incredible mix of rich volcanic soil, cool and misty climate, high rainfall, and excellent drainage, the ideal growing conditions produced high-quality coffee.

Let’s enjoy this legend coffee - Jamaica Blue Mountain brewed by 3 different brewing methods to see how it affects our tasting.
